Search Tips for Alliant Dissertations, Doctoral Projects and Theses

The first four indexes below are limited to our dissertations, projects and theses:

   Chair/Committee Member - Type in last name, first name.
   Methodology - Research design
   Statistics - Statistical method used
   Tests - Test used
  For tests held in the Alliant collection, use the Title index.

The following indexes apply to the entire catalog. Limit your search by using the strategies described for each one.

  1. At the Keyword search screen, type in the degree awarded, using periods. For example, type Ph.D.
  2. If used in conjunction with a "School" search, use the word "and" to connect the two search terms. For example, Ph.D. and Organizational.
  3. Select THESIS in the Material Type dropdown menu.
  4. Click the Search button.
  1. At the Keyword search screen, type Education for the Graduate School of Education; Forensic for the California School of Forensic Studies (previously the Center for Forensic Studies);Organizational for the California School of Organizational Studies; Psychology for California School of Professional Psychology; or Business for College of Business Administration.
  2. If used in conjunction with a "Degree" search, use the word "and" to connect the two search terms. For example, Ph.D. and Organizational.
  3. Select THESIS in the Material Type dropdown menu.
  4. Click the Search button.

   Author

  1. Type as much as you know, surname first.
  2. Select THESIS in the Material Type dropdown.

   Title

  1. Type as much as you know of the exact beginning of the title.
  2. Select THESIS in the Material Type dropdown.
